Those That’s Bout It - Bass

I listened to a lot of Cypress Hill and knew DJ Muggs' production really well. At one point, I delivered pizzas and sandwiches and while I was driving I would listen to the first Cypress Hill album over and over. When I got to the session it was kind of surreal to hear some DJ Muggs tracks that had never been heard. It was amazing and also very familiar so I felt like I knew what to do. I played on 6 or 7 tracks and he led me through each one. Some of them had keyboard bass parts that I replaced and some had nothing. For some, he would sing me what he was hearing and some he just let me do what I thought sounded good. As I would play he would give me really detailed feedback about the length of each note. That was pretty eye-opening. He also got a massage in the middle of the session and kept giving me direction on what to play during the massage.
